Please note the following changes in Service Pack 7
of EFI Designer Edition for HP:
- Support of HP Designjet 510
Service Pack 7 also contains the changes from previous updates like:
- Support of Mac OS X 10.5
- Support of HP Designjet Z3100
- Virtual printer creation on Vista fixed
- Media selected in the printer is now automatically selected when opening
preferences
- Crashes when shutting down EDE are solved
- When selecting HP Designjet 500 through USB the printer model is now
automatically selected in the application
- Media mistype issues for HP Designjet Z3100 solved
- Several issues for printing from application solved
- Issues for calibration of HP Photosmart Pro B9180 through USB fixed
- If EFI Designer Edition and the HP printer utility for the Photosmart 9180
are both installed on the same computer, two USB printers (DOT4_001 and USB_001)
are available in EFI Designer Edition. DOT4_001 cannot be used with EFI Designer
Edition. Therefore, please make sure to select USB_001.
- Different issues regarding information obtained from the HP Zx00-series
printer.
- The profiles for the HP Photosmart B9180 printer have been improved. Please
make sure to delete the subfolder for this printer model from your computer hard
disk before you install the SP4. The path may look like these e.g. PC:
C:\Programs\EFI\EFI Designer Edition\Profiles\Paper\HP\HP Photosmart B9180 Mac:
Harddisc\Applications\EFI Designer Edition\Profiles\Paper\HP\HP Photosmart
B9180.
- It is highly recommended that you use only the specialty media tray when
printing on "HP Proofing Matte Paper" for HP Photosmart B9180.
- Profile connector can now recognize and prevent RGB profiles being used.

Additional notes:
- ZIP-compressed L*a*b*/Tiff Files or Tiff files that contain a spot color are
still not supported.
- Running Designer Edition on Windows Vista you will have to give the users
write permission of the folders of EFI Designer Edition.
